We left the marina in high hopes for the future, that was around six months ago and as I write this, I have to say all our hopes became reality. Our learning curve was a steep one, handling Teila, getting to know the canals, where to stop for the shop, the day to day running of a narrowboat out on the cut, each and everything was new, which we took on like little adventures, learning as we went along. We became a team, a crew, a partnership beyond our dreams, we became Boatpeople and loved every minute of it. Now everything we did was not right everytime, nor did everything go how we thought it would, we had our ups and downs, thats no pun on the locks, but we got through the downs and enjoyed the ups. The shop was doing well and we changed some of the stock as we went along which made it do even better. The people we met, customers, walkers and other boatpeople made the adventure so much more then we could ever imagine.
We even had our bit of fame, I sent a email to the boat mags at the begining to let them know what we were doing. We then got on with our adventure. Julie nearly jumped through the roof when She was looking through the October edition of the Canal Boat magazine there was us, Shop on the Canal, a picture of Teila and a very nice write up of what we were doing, we were well pleased.
I know I have not give you great detail in all we have done up to now, Julie is putting together a ` Tales of Teila` with all we have been through to be where we are now. So keep an eye open for when we can get it on line, very soon we hope.
Jenny the pooch is just loving every minute, a proper boatees dog.
Well the Adventure continues the shop on the canal is doing great, We are doing great, and We hope You are doing Great.
Till next time, Be Happy, give us a wave when passing and stop for a chat you will always get a warm welcome from the Teila crew.
